As Easter draws near, let us pause to remember and understand.
Jesus loves us so much that He (the only one who is perfect and an acceptable sacrifice) paid our sin debt by dying on the cross. This was necessary for our salvation as sin was brought into the world by Adam.
Romans 5:18-19 (NLT) Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead to life!
God loves us so much that He declared us righteous! Christ's resurrection is proof of you being right with God.
Titus 3:4-7 (NLT) But--“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”
God loves us so much He gave us free will to choose!
Revelation 3:20 (NLT) “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
Through Jesus we are made right with God and are dead to the power of sin! All we need to do is choose Jesus as our LORD and Savior, and believe.
Romans 10:9 (NLT) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
If you have not already chosen Jesus, would you consider choosing Him today?
Please pray: Jesus, I love you! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, and on the third day you rose from the dead to life. I am sorry for all my sins, please forgive me and make me new. Please be my LORD and Savior. Please come into my life, I want to follow and serve You forever! In Your mighty name Jesus, Amen
