In the previous post, we looked at where God calls us righteous:
Titus 3:4-7 (NLT) But--“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”
When we think of being righteous, we might think of perfection which may seem daunting to attain.
The Hebrew word for righteous is צדקה
Looking at each letter (from right to left) we have these letters with their meanings:
צ (tsadi) – journey
ד (dalet) – access
ק (qof) – eternal
ה (hei) – grace
This reveals you are righteous when you are on a journey (walking with Jesus) with access to God's eternal grace!
It's something that is attainable by what Jesus has already done! Live in this freedom!
Philippians 4:13 (NLT) For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Praise God!
